One of the famous peak of Sagarmatha region and the most climbed peak of Nepal. Mera Peak has become one of the most popular trekking peaks to climb in Nepal.

From the summit of Mera Peak one can see 5 of the 6 highest mountains in the world: Everest, Kangchenjunga, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyo.

It involves trekking in the most remote valleys in Khumbu and Hinku valley, pristine nature, densely forested hills, grazing fields, frozen lakes and waterfalls, and diversified flora and fauna of this region.

As you will be trekking through the amazing small Sherpa Villages and you will have a lifetime experience of the Sherpa hospitality, their richest culture, and tradition

The trekking trail to Mera peak is an enjoyable walk terrain through river banks, beautiful valleys and forests, alpine terrain, glacial lakes, glacier moraine, and snow climb on less than 30 degrees elevation, which is comparatively low easier than a lot of mountain climb.

Besides the high peaks, the frozen waterfalls, dense forests, grazing fields, and amazing glaciers are stunning. Also, diversified flora and faunas are unique. Moreover, the hospitable Sherpas community will welcome you with their traditional cultures.

Climbing Mera peak itself is not very technical and doesn’t consist of a steep technical climb, but the high altitude at the summit makes this a challenging climb.

Unlike other trekking peaks in Nepal, the climb to the Mera peak is straightforward. The majority of the climb involves walking in a glacier at a relatively fair degree of steepness with the use of crampons and an ice axe. The final section of the climb involves an ascent of a snow dome with the use of an ascender/jumar on a fixed rope.

Previous experiences of trekking at high altitudes are beneficial and recommended before signing up for the Mera peak climb. Anyone who has done the Everest base camp trek or the Kilimanjaro trek can find themselves fit for the climb.

Technical climbing is not involved very much in the Mera peak climb therefore having done a high-altitude trek previously will be good.
