Mont Blanc Summit
Experience the breathtaking landscapes of the Alps and take on one of Europe's most iconic mountain adventures beneath the highest peak in Western Europe
Towering at 4,808 metres, Mont Blanc is the highest mountain in Western Europe and one of the world's most famous alpine destinations. Situated on the border of France and Italy, the Mont Blanc massif attracts trekkers, climbers, and mountain enthusiasts from around the globe.
Whether you're trekking through alpine valleys beneath the mountain's towering glaciers or preparing for a summit attempt, Mont Blanc offers an unforgettable combination of spectacular scenery, mountain culture, and personal challenge. Snow-capped peaks, glacial landscapes, picturesque mountain villages, and panoramic alpine views combine to create one of Europe's greatest mountain adventures.
Unlike many classic trekking adventures, Mont Blanc is a true alpine mountaineering objective. Success requires fitness, determination, and preparation, but for those who reach the summit, the reward is standing atop the highest mountain in the Alps with unforgettable views across Europe's most spectacular mountain range.
The region is renowned not only for its natural beauty but also for its rich mountaineering history, having inspired generations of climbers since the first ascent of Mont Blanc in 1786.

WHAT YOU WILL SEE & EXPERIENCE
Mont Blanc offers some of the most spectacular mountain scenery anywhere in Europe. Throughout the journey you'll be surrounded by towering peaks, vast glaciers, alpine meadows, crystal-clear mountain streams, and dramatic ridgelines that define the Alps.
The route passes through picturesque mountain villages such as Chamonix and Courmayeur, where alpine culture and mountaineering history remain deeply rooted in daily life. Traditional mountain refuges provide unique overnight experiences while offering breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks.
Depending on the itinerary, you'll cross high mountain passes, traverse scenic alpine trails, and enjoy spectacular viewpoints overlooking the Mont Blanc Massif. On clear days, the views stretch across France, Italy, and Switzerland, showcasing some of the most impressive mountain landscapes in Europe.

The journey is about far more than summit day alone. The expedition includes valuable acclimatisation climbs and alpine training days on surrounding peaks between 3,500m and 4,000m, allowing you to develop essential mountain skills while exploring some of the most spectacular terrain in the Alps. You'll learn techniques such as crampon use, ice axe skills, rope travel, and movement on snow and glacier terrain, all while building confidence for the final ascent of Mont Blanc.
The classic ascent follows the renowned Goûter Route, passing mountain refuges, high alpine ridges, glaciers, and dramatic mountain landscapes. Reaching the summit after a long and demanding climb is an unforgettable experience and one of mountaineering's great achievements.
Mont Blanc is a demanding alpine expedition requiring a good level of fitness, comfort with exposure, and the ability to spend long days in the mountains. Summit day can take 12–14 hours and involves glacier travel, crampon use, scrambling, and climbing at high altitude. Our itinerary includes dedicated acclimatisation and skills training days to maximise safety, build confidence, and provide the best possible chance of summit success.
Your guides for the climb are full UIAGM and aspirant guides. UIAGM is the highest recognised international guiding qualification and a prerequisite for guiding in the Alps. All guides have a long history of personal climbing experience throughout the Alps.
