WHAT YOU WILL SEE & EXPERIENCE
This expedition combines the best of the Everest region with the excitement of a genuine Himalayan climbing objective. Beginning with the famous flight into Lukla, the trek follows the classic Everest Base Camp route through Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, and Lobuche.
Along the journey you'll encounter colourful prayer flags, ancient monasteries, traditional Sherpa villages, and breathtaking mountain scenery. Towering peaks dominate the skyline, including Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and Pumori.
A visit to Everest Base Camp and the ascent of Kala Patthar provide unforgettable close-up views of the world's highest mountain before the focus shifts towards Lobuche East Peak. As the expedition progresses, trekkers transition from trekking into mountaineering, learning the skills and techniques required for the summit attempt.
The final climb involves glacier travel, crampon work, fixed ropes, and an exhilarating summit ridge, culminating in spectacular views across the Himalayas from over 6,000 metres.
THE CLIMBING EXPERIENCE
For many climbers, Lobuche East Peak serves as the ideal stepping stone between high-altitude trekking and more advanced Himalayan mountaineering objectives.
The climb involves glacier travel, the use of crampons, harnesses, fixed ropes, and ice axes, as well as ascending steep snow and ice sections. While previous climbing experience is beneficial, the expedition is designed to provide instruction and support throughout the journey. Long trekking days, cold temperatures, high altitude, and summit day demands make this a physically challenging adventure. Proper preparation before departure is strongly recommended.
The carefully planned itinerary allows for gradual acclimatisation, maximising both safety and summit success while providing participants with valuable mountaineering experience.
