Reaching Everest Base Camp at 5,364 metres is a remarkable achievement, but the true magic lies in the journey itself. WHAT YOU WILL SEE & EXPERIENCE

Your adventure begins with a thrilling mountain flight to Lukla, the gateway to the Khumbu region, where your journey into the Himalayas truly begins. From here, you’ll follow scenic trails through river valleys, dense forests, and high-altitude landscapes, gradually gaining elevation as the mountains rise around you.

Along the way, you’ll pass through vibrant Sherpa villages such as Namche Bazaar, the heart of the region, where colourful markets, cafés, and mountain culture come together. You’ll visit ancient monasteries, including the iconic Tengboche Monastery, set against a backdrop of some of the world’s highest peaks.

As you ascend, the scenery becomes increasingly dramatic - with breathtaking views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and the surrounding Himalayas.

Reaching Everest Base Camp is a truly special moment, standing at the foot of the highest mountain on Earth, surrounded by ice, rock, and the immense scale of the Khumbu Glacier. For many, the highlight continues with a sunrise hike to Kala Patthar, offering one of the best panoramic views of Everest itself.

ITINERARY

Hike up to Kala Pattar and then trek to Periche or Pangboche

Max. Elevation: Periche 4270m, Kala Pattar 5545m

Trek Duration: 6 – 7 hours

Today, if you want to get a very early start, you can hike to the highest point of your trek, Kala Pattar to watch Everest at Sunrise. Mt. Everest cannot be seen from Base Camp, as Mt. Lhotse sits right in front of it. So, it is considered the best viewpoint in the entire Khumbu region. From the top of the hill, you’ll have 360-degree views of Himalayan giants like Khumbutse, Changtse, Lhotse, Nuptse, and of course Mt. Everest!

The views from the top are incredible! Once you’ve captured all your moment, you’ll start heading towards Pheriche or Pangboche. Today there is an option to shorten the trek by taking a helicopter transfer from Lobuche, via Lukla, back to Kathmandu. You may then be able to take your international flight home the same day.

Trek to Namche Bazaar

Max. Elevation: 3438m

Trek Duration: 5 - 6 hours

Retracing your steps from the beginning of your trek as you’ll head down the massive hill before Namche. You’ll start your hike with gentle up and down hills. Again, you’ll cross suspension bridges and pass through small villages. Here you’ll meet other trekkers heading towards the opposite direction. After a few hours of a trekking, you’ll reach Namche Bazaar again. Here you can celebrate your accomplishment.

Trek to Lukla

Max. Elevation: 2840m

Trek Duration: 6 hours

After breakfast, you’ll trek back and it’ll be your last day of the walk. Again, you’ll descend further down crossing several suspension bridges. Trekking further all the way to Dudh Koshi river, you’ll arrive at Phakding. You’ll have some rest here and follow small ascend to Lukla. This will be the final day in Everest region. You’ll spend last night of your trek in Lukla, where once again, you can celebrate your successful journey with fellow trekkers.

Trek to Everest Base Camp and back to Gorakshep

Max. Elevation: 5364 m, Everest Base Camp

Trek Duration: 6 – 7 hours

Today you will walk towards the Everest Base Camp from Lobuche. You will walk through the highest glacier of the world, Khumbu Glacier. The views of the pristine mountain are absolutely captivating when you are surrounded by the icy glacier. After walking for about 7 hours, you will reach Everest Base Camp. After your time at the Base Camp, you will again head back for Gorakshep where we will rest and spend the rest of the day.

Trek to Dingboche

Max. Elevation: 4360m, Dingboche

Trek Duration: 5 – 6 hours

Early morning, you will walk down to Indrakhola and climb up to Dingboche. At the height of 4360 m, you will see the gorgeous view of Mt. Lhotse and also the striking Mt. Ama Dablam.

You will also see a clearer view of Everest on the trek from Tengboche to Dingboche. It is a sight to cherish. This place will also be a spot for you to take a rest and for the second acclimatization. You can take your time to get adjusted for a while and also enjoy the view. This spot is also considered to be among the best viewpoint in the region.

Trek to Namche Bazaar

Max. Elevation: 3438 m, Namche Bazaar

Trek Duration: 6 hours

Another early start and breakfast to then begin your trek to Namche Bazaar. You begin walking through the beautiful forest of rhododendron and cross Hillary Suspension bridge before you enter the Namche Bazaar. After you reach the village of the Sherpas, you can take your time to stroll around and meet the locals. You will see the local yaks as a means of transportation there. You will also witness the head of the dominant mountain, Nupla. You will stay overnight at Namche Bazaar.

Trek to Tengboche

Max. Elevation: 3870m, Tengboche

Trek Duration: 5 hours

Early in the morning, you will leave for Tengboche. You will pass through the banks of the Dudh Koshi river to reach Tengboche. You will also get to visit the local monasteries. You will enjoy the views while trekking and the water resources will freshen up your mood. After only a short trek, you will see a clear view of the mountains. If you are early, you can also take your time to visit a military museum on the way.
