A seamless & meaningful Shabbat experience
On all of our Shomer Shabbat adventures and tours, we ensure that we arrive at our overnight camp, hotel, or lodge well in advance of sunset on Friday - allowing ample time to prepare for Shabbat in a calm and unhurried way.
All meals are carefully prepared before Shabbat begins and stored appropriately, so you can enjoy them comfortably throughout the day without concern.
In our hotel and lodge accommodations, staff are fully briefed and trained to understand the needs of our guests during Shabbat, ensuring a smooth and respectful experience.
For our outdoor expeditions, we thoughtfully prepare each camp setting to support Shabbat observance. This includes:
-
Washing facilities available prior to Shabbat
-
Camp setups arranged with an Eruv in accordance with Rabbinic guidance
-
Lighting placed around camp, pathways, and key areas for ease and safety
-
Consideration for all practical aspects of Shabbat in remote environments
As the sun sets, the atmosphere transforms - with Kabbalat Shabbat and Kiddush shared under open skies, creating a truly special and memorable experience.
Shabbat morning offers a more relaxed pace, with time for services, rest, reflection, and connection with fellow travellers. The experience concludes with Havdalah, marking the end of a meaningful Shabbat in an extraordinary setting.
