Every day on the Spiti Valley Circuit reveals a completely different side of the Indian Himalayas. Beginning in the mountain town of Manali, the journey crosses the legendary Rohtang Pass and Kunzum Pass, where towering peaks, winding roads, and breathtaking views announce your arrival into the remarkable landscapes of Spiti.
The route explores many of the region's most iconic locations, including the turquoise waters of Chandratal Lake, the vibrant town of Kaza, and the fascinating high-altitude villages of Kibber, Langza, Hikkim, and Komic. Here you'll experience authentic Himalayan life while visiting some of the world's highest villages, home to ancient Buddhist traditions, remarkable fossil fields, and dramatic mountain scenery.
You'll discover the spectacular Tabo Monastery, often referred to as the "Ajanta of the Himalayas", admire the dramatic setting of Dhankar Monastery perched high above the valley, and visit Gue, home to its remarkably preserved 500-year-old Buddhist mummy. The journey continues through the rugged landscapes of Kinnaur to Chitkul, India's last inhabited village before the Tibetan border, before finishing amongst the peaceful cedar forests and waterfalls of Jibhi in the beautiful Tirthan Valley.
