Discover the offbeat Himalayan Escape of the Hampta Circuit Trek — five days of forests, meadows, and ridgelines, culminating at the breathtaking Sethan Dome (4,200 m).

Tucked just beyond the famous Hampta Pass lies the Hampta Circuit Trek, a hidden Himalayan gem waiting to be explored. This offbeat loop takes you through dense forests, sweeping meadows, and dramatic ridgelines, ending at the spectacular Sethan Dome (4,200 m) — a viewpoint few trekkers ever reach. Starting from Jagatsukh, a serene village near Manali, you immediately step into landscapes untouched by crowds, where every trail feels like an invitation to adventure.

Over five unforgettable days, you’ll follow ancient shepherd paths and alpine campsites, soaking in uninterrupted views of the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar ranges. Unlike the Hampta Pass that crosses into Spiti, the Circuit loops around the upper Hampta valley, taking you to secluded camps at Bogi, Sarotu, and Kharmandari, before reaching the panoramic Sethan Dome. Every day brings new terrain — river valleys, alpine meadows, and windswept ridges — keeping your senses alive and your camera busy.

This trek is all about solitude and immersion. No roads, no tea stalls, no crowds — just pure Himalayan magic. From towering pine forests to open ridgelines and high-altitude meadows, the Hampta Circuit delivers incredible variety in a compact route. Each campsite feels like your own secret hideaway, and every ridge reveals a fresh, jaw-dropping panorama.

Moderate in difficulty, this trek is ideal for trekkers ready for a rawer, more unfiltered mountain experience. With gradual elevation gain and plenty of acclimatization time, it’s physically rewarding, mentally refreshing, and spiritually uplifting. For those craving adventure without the crowds, the Hampta Circuit is your gateway to the untouched heart of the Himalayas — a trek that stays with you long after you return.

The Hampta Circuit Trek is perfect if you’re new to multi-day Himalayan trekking or just love soaking in nature. Graded Easy, the trail meanders through forests, open meadows, old shepherd paths, and occasional rocky stretches — all fully walkable. No brutal climbs, no marathon days, just steady, scenic trekking up to the Sethan Dome (4,200 m) over four days.

What to Expect:

3–6 hours of walking daily, offering plenty of time to enjoy the views. Gradual ascents, so your body has time to adjust at each campsite. Mostly soft trails underfoot: soil, grass, and the occasional rocky patch. Some rugged or overgrown sections — part of the fun of exploring a lesser-known route!

Light, fun, and totally rewarding — this trek is all about easy-going adventure with Himalayan vistas at every turn
